So who believes in it?

I'm not 100%, but I lean towards the idea of reincarnation and whatnot. Always open to learning something new.

I see no evidence to support the theory of an afterlife. I'm totally fine with the fact that I failed to exist before I was born, and it doesn't seem like it would be all that bad of a state to return to.

Not to mention that no religion I've ever heard of has come up with an afterlife that actually sounds like it would be fun for more than a couple of weeks, much less eternity.

(The Singularity is another matter- It may one day be possible to achieve immortality through scientific means, but that is still beyond our grasp for now.)

Reincarnation is half the story. Imagine there is no time, and that in reality you are several people at once, in many times in many places. In fact, at a certain level, you are everyone.

Interesting concept dirt. Wow! I would be arguing and agreeing with myself at the same time and not know it!

Me, I believe in the afterlife. As for reincarnation, the jury is still out for me on that one as I don't remember any prior lives. Of course, that could very well be a blessing in disguise.

Look at every argument you have ever had. Now think about your side of the argument: Do you really think you will convince anyone of anything? Unless the "person" already agrees with you, it will just go in circles for eternity. In reality, one argues with themselves to convince themselves of things.

Stop convincing me of that!

Since the Catholics got to me before I was seven, I am burdened with belief in Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory. Even if i try to let it go it comes back.

You betcha
