| | | I thought this deserves a thread, mainly because I was reminded of just why I hate books by a certain author the other day. So, what books do you hate, and why? I'll start: the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, and here's why: it started off well, but throughout it there was this big "secret" that was kept from the reader. I won't go into too much detail, if any of you are reading it/are going to read it, but let's just say by the end I felt like I was tricked into being preached to. Also, they had NO plot. Every book was exactly the same. I'm realizing that James Patterson (as I just started another YA book of his) does suspense well, and that's pretty much it. His plots suck, his originality sucks, and his dialogue sucks. The end.
