What's wrong with cockatiels? I've had a couple of them and they have been great. I agree that Parakeets can be nasty little fuckers, and they don't live very long.

Exactly Nvr2loud. We had a cockatiel for a while (Billy) and he was a joy to have. It was rather cute and funny when he would whistle and my brother's dog came to the cage and sat down. He then whistled again and the dog was doing her "I'm here! What do you want?" whine.

They do have tempers and attitude but they can definitely be good company and are funny little buggers.

I love my babies. Their names are Dancer Prancer and Taggie Waggie (Dancer and Tag for short)

I made Dancer a sweater, then I tortured her with booties.
