the funny thing is, British police actually use cardboard cops as a crime deterrent

http://www.blogcdn...dboard-cop-294.jpg

I was once with Lord Nikon in South Carolina when he went into a gas station and asked the attendant how much the cardboard cop was. She gave him the managers card so that he could call her and negotiate a price! I don't know if he ever actually bought it.

I don't like carrying picks with me, even the shitty ditchables that I made. Especially while playing inside active buildings.

(And at the moment, I'm absurdly out of practice.)

That's so two different parties with different keys can have access to the same door but the last one there didn't lock it up right.

Can I count an eight-foot ladder guard protecting the ladder to a cell tower that had easily scale-able lattice work?

A stairway to a 2nd-story roof with a 4ft chainlink gate on the bottom, and a handy rail for laddering over this gate.

Actually, it's just supermarkets and shops who tend to do that. Research and paper based statistics tend to prop up the idea that it works though*!

Basically it's like having a Police Officer without the cost and with far higher intelligence in your store 24/7.

Chris...

/*Yes, the puns, they are terrible.

LAPD I know tried this with a few 7-11 stores where they put up a mannequin of a LAPD officer in store and actually robbery attempts DROPPED.

That proves it then; it works!

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

I think the people who put up these security measures are really kind people that are doing their best to make us smile and laugh. I don't know about you guys, but it always makes my day brighter to find chains without locks and funny security signs and the like

Strategically placed boulder
http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/2010/dscn9866.jpg

Our national gas company finds a lot of boulders when they construct new gas lines. They sell/give them to municipalities who use them to long-term "temporarily" block off roads for vehicular access. It tends to work quite well.

Borrowed this pic from a buddy of mine...

He added the sign after we got in. -- I added a "For Rent" sign in the adjoining window. Good times.
