What is your verdict on this ugly bastard ?
| It's okay. Certainly it's bright, though not being regulated it dims as the battery drains, but the only way around that one is to buy something more expensive instead. It seems decently put together - it came lubed, has appropriate o-rings, and feels fairly solid. Oh, and for what it is, it's not overly large, which is nice. It still makes my 18650-powered Jet III ST look tiny, though On the negative side, eight modes is annoying, but not the end of the world. More of an issue, though, is that I used it last night riding home from work, and every time I hit a bump, the light changed modes! Extremely annoying! However, this is the third time I've used it on the bike, and the first two times it didn't have that problem. So, either I've knocked a connection loose, or I was using a battery that fit too loosely (it was an AW 18650, but previously I'd probably had a TrustFire or UltraFire in there). That's only an issue riding, of course, not using it hand-held. In short - it's decent, and I don't regret the choice, but I would keep an eye out for worthy alternatives (there seem to be new ones appearing all the time).
