This one is a mystery. It's an train bridge/tunnel, located in the middle of nowhere. While there's plenty of stone in NY, I would think there would be cheaper ways of doing this. The tracks are long gone.

top of Whiteface Moutain looking down on Mirror Lake/ Lake Placid.

the Adirondacks really are beautiful this time of year.
if it wasn't so hazy you could make out more of the High Peaks.
My dad is an actual ADK 46'R... the old fart even did them all in the Winter!

my dad is a bit... off

the falls here is actually still in Elizabethtown/New Russia. Keene doesn't start until you head west on NY 73 from Malfunction Junction.

couple of people have been killed in this spot. there's a nasty little undercurrent at the bottom of the falls when the water is faster. Also, that water is COLD. There is a pool further up, on Route 73, which is a little better to swim at. I am honestly surprised that the state/county hasn't put an end to swimming here.

\
if had kept going south on US 9, you would've gotten to Malfunction Junction, then the Interstate and the road to where is live is just past the Interstate.
