If you are not free to choose wrongly and irresponsibly, you are not free at all.

although the Alaska meet up would be sick, it's very expensive to get here, and around, and time consuming, cause what we consider "Close" most other people dont. And although Alaska is like the best place for urbex stuff ever, its all spread out, there never a lot of stuff close together.

Funny, as long as everyone picked a good time so we'd have enough time to drive to and from the Buckner Building & Kennicot Copper Mine I'd go. I still think it should be held in Alaska.

So looks like Alaska has the most interest.. how many people think they would be able to fly/drive up here this summer?

A convention in the Pacific Northwest would be awesome. My only criticism over having it in Alaska is that doing so makes the convention less accessible for those in the lower states.

Although the whole thing in Alaska would give me an excuse to travel. Or is there a way to host it in more than one state?

Think it would be pointless to do it in multiple states..

if it was in Vancouver, Seattle or Portland, I'd come up from Los Angeles. Alaska makes it out of reach for me. Sounds like it'd be a great place to explore, though, for those who can go.

I'm game for any area in west WA state, but we need ample time before the meet for those of us who are traveling from CA and AK. Especially since most of us are still in school, college, or working fulltime.

If it's held in Seattle, then I might go. Depends on how much money I have.

I suggest WA. I'm pretty close to Seattle, however I do not mind going any where else.

Since we've agreed to hold the meetup in Seattle, maybe we could also plan a mini-meet for Alaskan members and/or other members who are visiting Alaska during the summer. We could all meet in Whittier and explore Buckner for the day. I'd be down for it.

I have no money for a trip to Alaska, so Seattle would be optimal
