That's true but...

I wonder how many legitimate customers they've lost due this.. surely we didn't cause them such great losses that they needed to go on lockdown?

Anyways I replied to their automated email with something similar to...

"Id like to order 50 or so to start, I plan on selling them in my shop id just like to examine one first, if all goes well I'll be buying a large amount of these in the future.." etc...

Like other people said to do to make yourself look legit and they've ignored me. I sent that email an hour after my last post on this forum. I don't like the fact that I gave them my address and am probably going to get nothing in return.

A legitimate customer might assume they're crooks whose only intention is to get their personal information and in turn bad mouth the company to their friends, likely losing them future customers.

If they're going to be rude and completely ignore sample requests why don't they remove the option from their site, just because I didn't send them a large flashy super salesmen style letter explaining what I wanted doesn't mean I didn't intend to order a large number of those lighters...

All that being said, empire promos offers samples as well Iv currently got a free duffel bag in the mail from them and if anyone is interesting in knowing I'll post pictures when I receive it and also post on how fanatical they get after I get it, they're apparently going to contact me shortly after the bag has arrived to discuss my 'future orders'.

Well I ordered the Carabiner Pocket Knife, and received the confirmation email. I guess well see if it shows up.

I decided to just order the 1 product, If it shows up then I will go for the other 2. I figure that it looks less suspicious.

Ill let you guys know if it shows.

Just got the duffel bag from Empire Promos, I haven't been contacted by them yet, but I expect to get an email from them anytime wanting me to either return it or order something. They didn't say anything about wanting the item back later like 4imprint though..

The bag is a little flimsy feeling but hey it was free.. I figure it will be adequate.

Got my free flashlight, also got a pocket knife a little while afterwards. They both come with amazing pens (best I've ever used). Highly recommended.

I put my company name as the "Minneapolis Speliological Survey" and even spelled speliological wrong on purpose. Its actually spelled speleological. I used a fake last name, and set up an email address @live.com, which matched the "company's" name, and it worked out wonderfully.

I requested a headlamp and a zippo free sample and they emailed me asking about my payment method. I was under the impression that a free sample required no payment...

some of us got replies asking for credit cards and some of the people got there samples. It's hit and miss!

Since the middle of January, the only thing I have received is email after email with their latest sale items.
I finally unsubscribed and considering it a waste of time.

Package actually arrived today!

Made up a fake Name and a fake Company name and made an email address that sounded official and placed an order.

My order was incomplete however... I ordered the 3 LED head lamp which i expected would be crap, but the whit lights don't even work and the red light only illuminates about a foot in front of you, however, i suspect that the batteries are dead. My other item, the aluminum halogen bulb flashlight was not included in the package and it said it was supposed to have been on the invoice. However, they did send me a 4Imprrint Mug w/ some hot coco and a magnetic picture frame, so i dunno if they were trying to replace it or just being nice and the light got misplaced either way. The mug is actually pretty nice and if my company were real I'd totally order some of their mugs!
