|  | | | I took Thanksgiving break as an opportunity to go explore Dannemora State Hospital, one of the most magnificent set of buildings I've ever had the opportunity to see. I shot a mix of Panatomic-X (I haven't scanned most of thouse shots yet) and Kodachrome-X film that I found on the campus, using an old camera I found in my parent's basement and an old Polaroid I picked up at a flea market a few years ago. Luck had it that I also found a semi-functional Polaroid camera on the hospital grounds which I also used for some of my shots.
1.
A towering behemoth covered in red.
2.
A lonely chair that filled me with dread.
3.
I found one building will all manner of bed.
4.
Here is where you go when you're dead.
5.
An old hallway that hadn't been remodeled.
6.
Look, I found some medicine bottle(s)!
7.
A dirty old bed, all alone with its sheets.
8.
I hear that Typhoid Mary was really quite sweet.
9.
A pagoda a day keeps the doctor away.
10.
Leukotomes are silver, brain matter is grey.
11.
And now we come to the later part of the day.
12.
With security rolling, I had no time to delay.
13.
Thru the windows I saw them and knew I should be on my way.
14.
To the gerry chairs, quick! So that I may roll out of the fray.
15.
Down the stairs of another building,
16.
My favorite eggs are fabergé.
17.
This sink is OK.
Security cannot catch me now, I'm hiding among the tress. I just wish that Dannemora's security dogs didn't have to shoot bees.
