I have a chance to get a cheap Dell Poweredge 2300 server case. I was wondering if it would fit a intel dual xeon server, I think it's extended atx.

Damn, haven't seen one of those in a while. We got rid of them years ago.

Unfortunately if my memory is correct you cannot put a normal motherboard into the 2300 case. The case is "mirrored" compared to a normal ATX case.
