And *that* was awesome. So for next month (April 10), any ideas? Park-based exploration seems to be of much win. I know that there are a couple of parks in Dallas with nearby drainage features of interest... like Keller Springs Park in Oak Cliff (Hunky's burgers in Bishop Arts) and Reverchon Park in Uptown/Oak Lawn (more restaurants than you can shake a stick at). But I'm curious about FW, especially if it's moderately convenient to the train. The Cultural District and Stockyards are a quick bus ride away. The "nearby attractions" at the Stockyards sound like they're less appealing these days. But from a photographic point of view, the Will Rogers Colosseum and complex (in the Cultural District) is pretty awesome. Also, the Botanic Gardens. Most important, though, is the need to have the meetup at a place with a well-used deep fat fryer. April 10 is the Saturday after Easter. He Is Risen, and He's bringing me an order of chicken strips and fries. Salvation, as it turns out, is pretty close to "salivation".
| J'ai toujours fait une prière à Dieu, qui est fort courte. La voici: "Mon Dieu, rendez nos ennemis bien ridicules!" Dieu m'a exaucé. |
