The man had everything run by solar power and lived completely self sufficient underground.. He only came out once a week to go out to eat.. Had an indoor swimming pool,bar and bowling alley.. Shotguns are a fucking terrible zombie apocalypse weapon, unless it has a speed loader. Pistols or small-caliber automatics for the win. Machetes are also a momentum weapon - if you're relying on that thing and it gets stuck, you're probably fucked. Go for a long crowbar and take a nice home run swing at the head.
