on this the twentyfirst day of september 2007 i bit fairwell to a close friend. NTDOMAINCONT_1 he started life in 1999 in a shiny new rackmount compaq proliant. He from day one never coughed at the responsibility of being a print/file and domain server. NTDOMAINCONT_2 used to share the load for the logins and the like but just was never as nice and reliable as 1 was. over time more friends joined him on the rack. some running new and exotic OS's like some linux distros for our website and firewall. He never batted an eye kept the good fight. When NTDOMAINCONT_2 was elected to be upgraded to server 2000 from nt4 to serve as the first of our active directory servers he didnt complain, he enjoyed handling files and printing and losing the responsability of those pesky logins suited him just fine. Over the past few years the print jobs passing through his hands were fewer and fewer ans younger friends started picking up the slack. In the end only 1 laserjet 4 was being handled by him. Over the weekend the last of the files he was handleing were sent off to a new server and he has been allowed to take his final rest. This is the first time since a major power failure in 2002 that he has been powered down.
Thanks you were a great server
