| | | wow, a decent reason to visit Paris! I was there for three days this past summer, and of all the cities I visited (Berlin, Munich, Prague, Dresden, Lucerne, Zurich, Paris, and Innsbruck) it was my least favourite. Maybe I'll have to go back now

| | | Just wish I could join you all. There's something about those stations in particular, in that many were closed at the onset of some of the most tumultuous times in European history. There's also many abandoned stations (perhaps moreso) in New York apparently. I've lost the web pages about them, but there's one in particular regarding NY's underground train treasures, which one could surely find by Googling. Good luck if you all do go down the Parisian underground. Cheers

hmmm. From an urban exploration point of view, that's a very odd comment. 300 km of centuries-old tunnels (some dating back to the Roman Empire), bunkers, underground facilities, old wells, old fountains and human bones isn't a good reason for you? Gees, what do you need??? WOW. [last edit 4/16/2006 8:52 PM by maZe - edited 1 times]

| | | lol.. when I visited Paris, I knew nothing of UE. I just knew the city was trash compared to like, Lucerne and Berlin... Haven't though about it in the UE standpoint until now.

| | | Trust me, if I ever find myself with the dosh to travel to Paris again, the Cats will be the first place I head for. I've been to the topside in the past and met some very nice French people, but what's under their feet is what interests me. Cheers

| | | That Metro Saint Martin - has it been abandoned since before the War? If so that is an incredible time capsule, just imagining all the history that's happened around it. Thanks for the link!

| | | Also in Belgium are unused parts of the metro: Charleroi being the most famous. But parts of other systems are also unused as of yet.
