All the time! Less so in actual abandonments & more in general exploring (rural areas especially)... On the off chance that you do get caught around buildings, it's better to not have an entire raccoon in your hands. Take it from me.

I'm actually reviving this thread from the dead after searching to see if anyone else on this site cleans bones they find, haha. Like fruitbats said, there's a huge overlap between vulture culture and urbex.

Amateur taxidermy's not really my thing but I know a couple explorers who collect bones, so they're definitely out there.

Unfortunately I walked into a basement with a few dead dogs hanging from the ceiling and a pentagram underneath them. Needless to say I never got out of an abandoned house so fast before

An entire floor with every room containing a dirty mattress and children's clothing thrown everywhere. Used condoms and heroin needles as far as the eye can see. I was mortified and had to collect myself after thinking about what had probably happened on this floor in the past. Discovering a room full of food containers and drinks lead me to believe the people ate and discarded the trash that way because they weren't allowed to leave the building.
