| | | Splendid China Still Some Left < on 1/27/2006 5:17 AM >
| | | UPDATE: In the database (I've been told) Splendid China appears as being demolished and that its contents where sold in auctions and such. Well, I visited it more than a year ago and about 70% was still there. I took some video and pictures, but I lost them all since I went at night, Got in the highest place, and shined my 10K Candela light Torch straight into the Land keeper, who ran us for like 15 min and then we had to leave b/c of cops. I decided to go back, but now, about 20% of it still left, if you knew what was there. I visited it and this time I took precautions and went in on December 25th ,and in december 31st. I know that no one would keep an eye on abandoned stuff that no one wants in those days. So I went in , stayed hidden most of the time and took as many pics as possible. But thirst was too much and we had to leave. Splendid china still a good place to explore and I would like to put a new album in the location ,but I'm not level 3 yet. Here are my pics I hope you all like them. PM for any questions. Maybe next week I'll bring pictures of an abandoned resort with multiple building and pools. Whats left of a Restaurant. First time I went it was still intact, roaches still feasted. You can see pics in the database of this place.
A Bald Eagle with nest. I think thats the name. I'm talking about the one on the coin.
A structure of a village. A year ago, it was filled with these, but now only the ugly ones remain. I took this pic from far in the woods since I didn't wanted to be seen.
Random Backstage area
A lake city. A year ago, the city was there and the bridge full of elephants. now just frogs.
The Rock forest. Pre-historic trees fell and solidified into rock.
Miniature of tomb for ????? Emperor
Wall city. build inside the walls of a canyon.
Inside Praying Palace
Me "Monkeing" Arround. This was the most exposing part of my trip, but I just ad to do it.
Outside Praying Palace
The "Not so Great Wall of China". It used to extend arround the park, a whole mile, but now its been sold in pieces, not much of it left.

| | | Please reduce the size and the image width greatly. It takes up too much screen real estate and I have one large LCD screen! Plus, at such a large image with poor image quality, I could hardly make out what I was seeing.

You know how long it took me to figure out how to even get them where they R at right now? But yeah I can see your problem since I got a crappy 25$ screen. EVERYONE!!! The humongus pictures you see right now are being edited. so don't esk for them to be re-sized, they are as you read this. I'll fix them up.
EDIT NOTE: As of now(1/27/06) the pictures are fixed [last edit 1/27/2006 6:49 PM by Monkey Boy - edited 1 times]

| | | Fits snugly on my monitor! =] But still, you should really reduce the size of the image. There's no reason to have grainy low quality images of that resolution. Not to mention the page takes forever to load... -Me!

| | | Those are some great shots, the parts I could see, but yes, please resize, I use 600px on the longest edge as a template.
