The logitech G5, this mouse is made for gaming and i bought one due to the fact that i hate putting my mx700 in the charger.

All around its a pretty nice mouse, however dont upgrade if you have an mx500 and on, because really in gaming i dont notice a difference between this one and my Old one. Also another thing that ticks me off is they took out the forward button on the side, i dont know what they were thinking.

This mouse has a DPI changer, it can go from 400dpi to 2000dpi, (the buttons located behind the mouse wheel) i noticed though that if you are in game do you really have to time to change from each setting? Also the buttons to do this are in an awkward place making it harder to change in game.

But a feature i do like is the weight set that comes with the mouse, since ive been using my MX700 for around 3 years now i like a heavier mouse better so i put in more weights to mimic the batteries in the MX700.

All and all a good mouse, but ill say it again if you have the mx500 or above you probably wont notice a difference in the way this mouse works.

Ahh Logitech makes great equipment ... Too expensive for me, though .

I have a nice Ultron UM-45 that I paid 7$ for (inc shipping). It's a simple standard 3-button 800dpi black USB corded mouse with a blue-LED-lit scrollwheel. It has a very comfortable hard rubber "matte black" surface for your palm and a shiny hard-plastic surface for your thumb. Looks nice, works well (great feedback on the microswitches so they don't feel "cheap", and very good precision), with a 3 year warranty, for 7$.

I have the logitech somethin or other optical wireless with the charging thingy...I love it except that making it sit in the craddle just right is a pain in the ***. Not sure if its just mine or a wider problem...
Logitech's solution...jiggle it till it works.
Great.

yeah exactly, i couldnt take sitting there any more and trying to make the green light go on anymore. And the batteries seemed to run out at the worst times.
