I finally doing the broadcasting thing
entry by Explorer H

Well, I have gotta say, I am very stoked that one little guy came back to UER. DJ Drew is a big ball of knowledge and ideas, even though he is only in the tenth grade. Yesterday morning, I went from reading Drew's email asking me if I wanted to help out, to doing live broadcasts. I enjoyed setting-up all of the software, it was a breeze, another reason I am glad to be a diehard Mac user. So I hooked up SKYPE - pretty neat. My pop has beed using Skype for six months now, whoda-thunk. I am using Nicecast to broadcast, and for now am DJing out of iTunes (playing more of my personal favorites). I just bought the full-version of Traktor DJ Studio. It will allow me to do live mixing, etc, on air. Both Nicecast and Traktor allow you to archive your broadcasts. I used to always wish I had a radio show. This is like a small dream for me. I am pretty excited to put together some shows, refine the whole voice-over thing, and get some feedback. This should be fun.
