Hello all,
I was wondering if any of you have managed to modify the yahoo cookie so that it doesnt log you out, or can last longer than 24 hours. I have been playing with the cookies yahoo sets, but all i manage to do is log myself out
Any ideas?

On a side note, do any of you frequent a site that discuses modifying the way things work, hidden features, stuff like that? with a wide variety and such.
Not looking for anything specific, just new stuff to try out, and most likely break.

Thanks all

Modifying it probably won't work, since the yahoo server likely resets it upon every visit.

Yahoo sets more than 6 cookies, all with nonstandard hashes as the values...

I logged in to yahoo and opened up the cookies. I didn't see anything obvious about them other than they're all hashes that aren't standard ones so I can't attempt to break them... Mind you I only spent 10 minutes checking the cookies over, but it doesn't look like they expire locally or if they do it's encoded in a weird way that I can'T help you with the effort I put into it.

Yah i spent more than enough time researching this, and all I found where other people asking the same question. Appreciate the time you did take to look though
I am pretty sure it expires locally, because if i log on at different places, at different times, they still expire 24 hours later on each computer.
But regardless, yahoo aparently doesnt want me to do this.

No problem, I'll check a couple mailing list archives to see if they have any info, but it looks like they're trying to hide it...

One of my cookies has my fake postal code in it... Me wonders if they are using that for geolocation instead of IP?
