Appropriate attire
entry by Jennibel

Ok, where I work there is a dress code. For shirts: no see-thru, no midriff bearing, no strapless, no cropped. For pants: no ripped or torn, no low slung...etc, etc, etc.

Never have I worn anything that breaks the 'dress code' but today I got called into my managers office to be talked to about what I was wearing. They were just regular jeans & a 'branded' polo shirt. Nothing out of the ordinary, people that I work with have them also. The only reason I got talked to is due to it being pulled up above the waistband of my jeans & thus showing the very top part of my tattoo. The person who saw it didnt think it was appropriate that part of my back was showing...they thought the polo was too short or my jeans not long enough. This person is also the brown-nosing little tattle-tale who goes & blabs everything about everyone to management. My tattoo wasn't appropriate either.

Anyway, I was showing some 'skin' because someone sat at my desk after I had left yesterday afternoon & screwed up everything...my computer, phone, manuals, files, even my fan I keep there. I was trying to sort out the cords underneath my desk & had to stretch to reach some of them. God forbid part of my back showed. The world is going to end now. Let me also mention that this was at 4:30 in the morning, hardly anyone is there...maybe 7 people on the floor that I work on.

I'm sure that while I was stretching to get the cords that the waistband on my undies also showed. Oh, no! They were black...such a miscreant, aren't I? I just can't imagine what would've been thought if the strap of my bra happened to show thru the neck opening of the shirt. Yes, that was black also. A little cleavage, that would be a sin against humanity.

Luckily my manager is cool & she said I didn't have anything to worry about... that nothing I have ever worn was 'out of bounds'.

Anyway, my best friend & I had a good laugh over it. It was about the only thing humorous today!
