| Picture at Broomhill Hospital... entry by Jennibel 6/30/2005 11:40 PM
| Ok. So I attended Europex in Scotland & had a blast seeing all the sights especially the abandoned hospitals & BBQing at the Seminary. However, there was one time that was very...unnerving? I dont know if thats the right word or not. But while I was at Broomhill up in the Wards taking pictures I went to take a picture of one of the rooms & had something very strange happen to me. I was standing in the doorway going to get a picture when all of a sudden I felt dizzy, lightheaded & sick to my stomach. I felt as though I was going to pass out right there. Knowing I had to get away from that room, I quickly took the picture & didnt even wait to see how it turned on the image viewer of my digital camera. As soon as I heard the 'click' that the picture was taken, I moved out of the doorway & onto the next room. Right after I moved away from the door frame I felt perfectly fine...no more dizziness, nausea, or anything bad. There was 'something' in that room that didnt want me taking a picture. Maybe a former patient who had 'lived' there & didnt want to be disturbed? Maybe a former nurse still looking after her patients? Who knows... When I finally looked at the picture it looked perfectly normal...well, as normal as a room in an abandoned hospital. Just an old forlorn bed & dirty window, some discarded debris & such... Nothing odd at all that I could see. Did it make me uneasy? Yes. Would it stop me from wanting to go back? No way in hell! Bring on the abandoned hospitals & asylums!
