 | An afternoon in Baltimore

| I spent Saturday afternoon driving around East Baltimore, through old familiar neighborhoods, seeing what has changed, and maybe, what might be abandoned.
The Crown Cork and Seal building, off the Eastern Avenue underpass. This building has been subleased to tenants, but it looks like this section is pretty much abandoned.
The old National brewery is now Natty Boh Tower, split between offices and a self-storage facility. Reproductions of period advertising have been painted on a few walls of the building, and then there's the neon sign on the top. Article
The surrounding area is being redeveloped as Brewers Hill. An old covered bridge still stands.

The old Red Rose distillery and warehouses in Dundalk. I went to kindergarten across the street from this building, and back then, in the summer, the side doors would be opened and you could see the barrels of whiskey inside the warehouse. Today the warehouses are abandoned but other parts of the site are still in use for some kind of food packing operation.
