Four weekends of exploring in three states, finally one update to the mission logs

I've been gone on weekends and busy during the week, so this'll be really brief.

Four weekends ago, I went to Beer City and explored a giant abandoned brewery. We explored most of the bigger half of the complex, hitting various rooftops, tunnels, offices, and for the most part, hallways full of giant vats. One building had an absolutely beautiful cathedral-like open space about four floors high, with giant vertical pipes, a beer computer on the bottom level, and even a stained glass window, which unfortunately was covered in boards. Also went rappelling off a high rock in the middle of a flat plain on Sunday.

Three weekends ago, I went to Minnesota and snuck around a couple of the caves that will soon be closed off for good by the city of St. Paul. MacGyver and I mapped one out which I don't think I had ever been in before. It constantly amazes me how many of those caves there are along the bluff. We also checked out a lead from the sewers that might provide access to a...how should I say it...long-lost and top-secret location We didn't find the holy grail just yet, but it has a lot of potential.

Two weekends ago, I went up to LaCrosse to get drunk with Drunkyard, poke around a local semi-active facility, and then head right back to ole Beer City and the brewery. This night was a little more risky than the last, as we saw security several times, once from the roof of a building when we were a little noisy. But we made it across a high, visible catwalk, and explored about 2/3 of the buildings on the complex.

Last weekend, I went to the only town above ~20,000 in-state which I hadn't really poked around in much until then. I laid out a route through the industrial and commercial parts of the city, and, following it, we systemmatically scouted out all the likely, and unlikely, areas where one could find abandonments. We hit pure gold. One giant four-story abandoned specialty mall in a converted six-story abandoned meat packing plant - you guessed it, the top two floors were still abandoned from when it was the plant; two giant inaccessible buildings downtown; a couple warehouses that might be accessible but risky; another random factory; a vacant but probably inaccessible middle school; and another random accessible factory. We explored about half the mall before we ran out of town and headed home. I can't believe it took me this long to finally decide to go check out that part of the state.

Next weekend...the adventure continues.
