Richmond last weekend, and a creature in our bed.

Ed and I went out to Richmond last weekend to do some exploring with xrahy and EatsTooMuchJam. It was lots of fun. We visited the pump house, which was fun getting into. ETMJ and I ended up getting very messy. It was nice to finally see that place in the daylight, because the last time we were there with Xrahy it was the middle of the night.

Next stop was Lucky Strike. That place was pretty damn cool. We ended up getting separated, so, I did most of my exploring with ETMJ while ed and xrahy forged on ahead of us somewhere, the place is so big and full of different buildings that we could have been there all day without running into eachother. There were some nice tunnels, rooms full of machinery, executive office buildings, a smoke stack (which was really cool to crawl into - i have a picture from the inside looking up to the sky in the gallery in the database) and lots of other cool crap. Very nice place.

Anyway, i know i'm forgetting a bunch of things I probably wanted to write here, but I'm tired. I was just woken up at 5:30am, because I felt something crawling on me. I thought I imagined it, but then I felt it again. It really freaked me out, so I jumped out of bed and turned on the light, and there was Chirpa (one of our rats) curled up in bed with us. She had escaped her cage, climbed down the bookshelf, through the livingroom, down the hall, into our bedroom and curled up in our bed. We came out to the livingroom to put her back, and our other rat Pabloo was under the couch. It took me a while to coax her out because she's shy. Anyway they're back in their cage now and I have to keep a book on top of it because they know how to open the little latch on their cage door. Little houdini rats. I have to admit it was kinda cute that Chirpa came to sleep with us.

ugh. tired.

so yeah what the hell was i saying. oh yeah. Richmond. It was great exploring again with xrahy and ETMJ. I'm all covered in scrapes and mosquito bites. We're going back this coming weekend too, and hopefully getting some better shots of the place.

Heh, Little houdini rats. That reminds me of a relative of mine who had a retarded snake (seriously) named Houdini that eventually escaped.

I'm sad that I won't be able to go back with you guys. In retrospect there are things I wish that I'd photographed, but I didn't! That always happens!
