This place I've been to before, but as they were renovating it, the last of the cool stuff walked away, in fact I had to sneak in with the workers fixing up the building.


But I am lucky to say that I made it in, a room that had been locked, untouched for over a decade, left dark and damp.


One of many Microfiche found in the vault, said to have had over 6 million pages of information; many of these were still here, in a few cabinets, boxes and such.


The whole room smelled like mildew and mold it was incomparable to any place id ever been


I wish I'd gotten a better photo of the culprit of this smell, this book had so much mold on it that I didn't even know what it was, the thing had a inch of fuzz coming off of it. Can you imagine having to clean this place out?


Gigantic Oreos were used to store reels of film, though most were empty, relocated to ProQuest


Some form of mechanism for film digitizing I assume?
