I just purchased my first camera, so I thought it would be a great time to go for my first real urban exploration. And now here I am, writing my very first forum post. It's truly an honor.

While returning home from a scouting mission on another site, I suddenly felt compelled to look to my left while driving. And to my surprise, there it was. A completely abandoned farm. Now I've done my fair share of exploring, but I'd never come across something quite like this.

You see, I've checked out lots of the places you can find on google, reddit, and my basic access on here. The problem is that they're mostly well known spots and well...they're not as thrilling. Graffiti everywhere, homeless encampments, etc. Not that those are terribly bad things! Obviously they are a huge part of urban exploration. However today, I was looking for something entirely new. Somewhere no man has gone in nearly 20 years. And I came across just the place.

Now, I'm not certain I'm the first explorer to find this location. It's not too far off the beaten path, literally right off a main road. This is why I was so surprised to see JUST how perfect it is. If there has been exploration done here, they kept the place in good shape. No vandalism to be heard of. I am pleased to say I did my part in that regard as well.

If you or someone you know has already discovered this place and coined a name, please let me know. I would love to add this to the map as soon as I have full access. But for now, I will unofficially name this discovery:

Playboy's Floating Farm.

I wonder what secrets lie inside...

Proud of this photo. I'm far from a good photographer, just glad to know my $1000 camera was worth it... maybe

The pioneers used to ride these babies for miles!

Lots of cocks were raised in this place. Literally and figuratively.

You would not believe the amount of hoarded paperwork in this thing.

This photo is not special. That's what makes it so special. Enjoy.

My mom said this place looked "crusty"...was she right?

You just can't beat those prices! Hell, I'd save $10 per week on peanut butter alone!

There's just something about old paint cans.

Just look at that fine furnishing. I wonder how many years it's been since they've touched the ground?

Make your way up to the attic to find some nice prizes...the pages are a little stuck together though...

It's safe to say I had a good day. I can't wait to see where my exploration takes me. How did I do with this post? I'm in Gen Z so it takes a few extra steps than an Instagram post...but well worth it.

I just recently joined this forum. I have very few friends who would be willing to do this crazy shit with me. If you'd like to connect with me, please add me! Thanks for reading and I'll have MANY more places coming soon. Don't forget to eat your lemons for breakfast!

It wasn't me, I swear! I left my mark on the framed nude of this guy's wife. At least that's who I assumed it was. Hopefully you can't get asbestos through the urethra. Shit.

Very cool, I love the way you framed these shots. What's going on with the second to last one, it looks as though the chairs are floating? Is it a trick of the framing angle or are they all set up like some horror movie art piece?

I really appreciate it! I spent too many days fiddling with the camera settings to NOT end up with a few good shots. I'm glad to be a part of this community.

Your guess is as good as mine. I'd like to believe they were all precariously hung to save space. But it also appears that at any moment they could fly towards me menacingly, or combine into a ball of dusty wood and wreak havoc on the suburbs. I was pretty unsettled by it until I found the magazines to relax my mind and body.

That location is pretty cool. its got a lot of out buildings, and looks really undisturbed.
That's a nice set of photos and a decent first time post. welcome to the community.

What make and model is your new camera?

Very much appreciated! I'm glad to be here.

My camera is the Sony ZV1 Mark 2. I mostly plan to use it for video, so I was surprised with the outcome of these photos. It does the job for my needs. Really portable and easy enough for a noob to get used to, especially on a budget.

Nice set. The cracked window shot is really good as is the Bicycle. Looks like a cool place.
