This trip was overdue. The stresses of life are turning Mr. Nosey into Mr. Angry. Trying to renew a mortgage and dealing with the disgusting animals that I work with, has put the snap button in the ON position. I needed to get back to what has kept me going in the past.




My first stop was an active body shop that looks to have switched owners. However, they've retained most of the old inventory:

This property appears to be a hunt camp or some kind of hangout. It has half a dozen vehicles but the bugs were so bad that I had to abort after this sexy Pontiac hiding in the weeds:

Jackson's Auto Wreckers

This is still an active salvage yard with approximately 1500 cars. I spent an hour here before the heat and bugs drove me to my breaking point. I'm lucky if I covered a quarter of the grounds but it sure was an experience:

I hear you about the "Mr. Angry". Not renewing a mortgage right now, but a new roof instead, and am flabbergasted beyond belief at the post-COVID, new-world choke hold. Our lowest quote was $17K and highest was $23K. Fucking hell. They're on the roof scraping away above my head as I type this right now.

Congratulations on the being the very first person EVER to go to that old stone farmhouse and not make it solely about the bed with the arched frame. Without a photo of the bed at all, in fact! That's a great house and a great location. Wish I knew you were going there, as I would have given you a suggestion for another abandonment hidden in the forest to the south of that place. Literally a few hundred metres. Check satellite imagery and you'll see it. Some old firebirds in the woods!

This collection of shots is incredible. That opening photo is a show-stopper. And photos like #11. It's amazing what a little bit of blur does to enhance the visual aesthetic. I love it!
