I was recently poking around a building (probably the first person to go in within a few years) and came across the golden fields of moldy delectability. Just wondering what other mold connoisseurs think about my discovery.

How would you guys suggest I consume such a fine dubious delight?
What are the sweet and totally awesome health benefits of mold mmmm?

What are some mold stories from you folks? Shit is NASTY and I'm curious to hear about some gross ass stories if anyone has had a particularly bad experience with mold.

Once I was in an active place and had to take a shower. In the restrooms, the shower curtains were extremely moldy. The light on the ceiling was hanging down with the wires visible. I don't remember if the ceiling was moldy, but it might have been.

It was one of the few times I came out of a shower feeling less clean than when I entered.

My grandfathers shower (he lives in a trailer) really reminds me of this, Never felt clean after walking out of that shower. are you implying that you were trespassing somewhere and just casually took a shower in the building?

Oh, no. I absolutely did not mean that. I was on a youth group trip and had to take a shower that morning.

No actually, it was as fresh as the day the factory closed. Apparently Tampico puts a LOT of preservatives in its product.

It seems like mold is a lot worse of a problem in warmer states, This is my first encounter with mold just straight up growing on the building instead of someone leaving an orange in a drain on a ledge or something.

But in a climate where the humidity is always high sounds vile, not only for comfortability but also in how fast that shit has to be growing

I read a thread such as this and all I can imagine is the responses that Blackhawk would have to keep us all safe and sound.

He was like our own little OSHA safety guy.

It was sitting around for about two years, though it was in a cool/shady part of the building and the winters had helped preserve it. I also suspect utilities had been cut fairly recently, so it was probably climate controlled for most of that time.

Also, it's fun when you walk into a building and you can feel your lungs ache from the mold after a while. Lew Wallace down in Gary was like that before they tore it down, as was the old radiology clinic in Chicago.
