As the title asks, anyone trying to balance studies with UE?

If yes, how are you fitting UE into your schedule? Any tips for making time while also continuing studies?

Does being in school affect your risk tolerance when evaluating potential spots to explore?

Would love to hear experiences.

Weekends and holidays are my time to get out. Also school nights where classes aren’t too terribly early in the morning are good enough for me. Being out till 4am then having to get up at 6am sucks quite a lot yet I still do it once in a while.

In terms of risk, I am currently on disciplinary probation from my school because of some exploring that went south. Besides that, it’s just the normal risk assessment of “is this going to kill me or permanently ruin my life”. If the answer is yes or my gut says nope then I’m out, but otherwise I’m all in.

Hey, I've done a bit of research on this topic and there is a medium probability, depending on how big your city is/where you're located that law enforcement will notify your school that you've been arrested. Usually, this will only occur if you are arrested so keep that in mind but the risk is still present even if you're not in the city that your school is in. I try and mitigate this risk by doing low-risk explorations such as storm drains or isolated locations and general other safety measures.

If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer them if you wanna pm me or send me an email.

I haven't reached college yet, but I do live at a boarding school. It really expanded my horizons in terms of urban exploring and even introduced me to infiltration. I actually do most of my exploring during the school year right there at the school because the facility is pretty much perfect for it. It's quite old and full of disused tunnels and basements. It took me a while to find a way into the areas students don't typically get to see. Going there was really nerve-racking at first, but I grew more comfortable exploring those spaces over time. Even the newer employees-only areas are interesting to explore.

In terms of balancing this with my school work, I tend to do most of it on the weekends. I never really spend more than two or so hours exploring at a time unless I find something really interesting, and since the rest of my day is free, I am able to get all of my other stuff done.

just about to finish college, and i'm more worried about trying to balance exploring with my big kid job once i get into the working world of my field of study. those who have a full time career or at least a serious job that takes a lot of your time, what do you do to make time for UE ?

Yes, and I explore pretty frequently, my college is in the middle of the city and makes it easy to explore pretty much whenever. I've had some legal issues since being here as well, and nothing happened in terms of my university punishing me or anything like that. My university website says that I can face punishment for stuff like this, but I still do high risk stuff all the time
