On the outskirts of the city of Oulu is an island, which nowadays serves as a recreation area with a large beach and a spa hotel. In the early 20th century this was the area, where the rich and famous of the city built their summer villas, where they spent the summer months.

Originally built as a villa by a wealthy family, this building was later bought by the police association. It was a place of recreation for the police crew and was even hired out for weddings and other parties. Renovations were ignored and the place soon was abandoned and left to decay.

Looks exactly like it looked the previous time.



It was a miracle the house was still standing.



Quite a pink dream.



The building was demolished the following winter.
