Although this can't be considered an urban, or even rural explore, the ghost town of Rhyolite Nevada is a neat place to visit. Gold was discovered in the Bullfrog hills in 1904 and a gold camp was established. Soon the town of Rhyolite was founded and in the blossomed. A large school, hospital, saloons, an ice plant, and amazing for its day, electricity and water mains right at the buildings. Three rail lines served the city and the beautiful train depot still stands today.

Here's my video of our day trip to Rhyolite.
