Night shots behind the airport / HOT pixel advice?

Found a neat little spot down the tracks with tons of photo ops including trains, graffiti, an airport, a substation and a highway.. I was using my new Leica V-Lux 5 and I'm encountering a problem with long expos that I never had with my Nikon D7000. From what I've found on Google they're called "hot pixels" which are little red, green or blue dots. They're a huge pain to clone out and I've included an example pic at the bottom.

I've found contradicting advice on Google.. Some say to turn up the ISO, some say to turn it down (I'm already using 125 which is as low as the camera goes.) Some people also say to get the camera serviced and calibrated. I was just wondering if anyone on here has had the same problem and has any insight on how to fix it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

From picture #2 before cloning. It's probably pretty hard to see.. The dots look white but on my computer they're RGB.

Cool shots! I've only ever gotten hot pixels once when I needed to do a 10 minute exposure in this extremely dark building, but I've heard that if your camera has a sensor cleaning mode then that will remap the sensor and hopefully remove the hot pixels. I would also guess that shooting at the native iso of the camera would give the cleanest result. It's not always just 100 so check for your camera.

Unfortunately my camera doesn't have a sensor cleaning mode, but I will look into the native ISO. I wasn't even aware that was a thing. Thanks for the advice!

This is the kind of thing I love seeing. TAKE MOAR.

I agree with Ryan, see if there is a sensor clean setting on your camera, if not, find your local camera shop and take it in for a cleaning.

No sensor clean, I'll take it in and see what they say. Thanks!
