Just looking for good (free) software or programs to use for post. I wanna make my pictures look more clear. I'm not trying to get professional grade photography but good and clear enough so I can properly share my UE experiences with others. Now that I think about it, isnt that what good photography is, Sharing experiences and emotions? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks!

I use GIMP for free editing software. I prefer some paid options that I have, but GIMP is quite powerful.

GIMP is good. Another free tool is Paint.net, which is what I used before Photoshop.

PS. Pros load RAW files into Lightroom and then PS. That's pretty much top of the line≥

Why only free programs?

Lightroom mobile. If you want to edit RAWs free run them the the Adobe DNG converter and you won’t need to buy the subscription.

I used to pay for Adobe but now I get it free from my school. I used GIMP a long time ago and it was pretty good, but I don't recall it being very efficient when working with multiple pictures. I have a friend who pirated lightroom and it works fine, but I think it's hard to find a good way to do it.

I use a program called CR2 Converter to convert my RAW CR2 format images into JPEGs, and then I edit those JPEGs with Paint.net. Unfortunately the conversion process makes all the JPEGs come out with a greenish tint that requires correction in editing, but it's the best setup I've found for free so far.

Lightroom and Photoshop. sometimes Luminar but it's limited on some aspects.

I use RawTherapee. It's a free Lightroom knockoff, but I don't remember where I downloaded it. I like it but I've never actually used Lightroom, so I'm sure it's got its relative limitations.

I use Photoshop and Lightroom. Although it’s not free it’s fairy reasonable at 10 dollars a month. You could try Gimp or Darktable. Those are both free.

Silverfast for film scanning. Picturenaut to build digital composites. Ancient, hand-me-down version of Photoshop Elements for all final tweaks. No, not efficient at all, but I'm not paying a subscription fee and it does what I want it to.

You can torrent Photoshop if you're alright with an older version, but it's only USD $10/month for Photoshop, Bridge and LightRoom on Creative Cloud, which is pennies compared to most peoples phone bills.. Highly worth it IMO
