This place was a interesting trip. I dragged along a friend of mine who had never been exploring before until this place. I only dragged her along because she was the only person willing to take the 5 hour drive there with me after bribing her with a visit to a nearby famous bakery. All was well on her first explore until a construction truck pulled into the driveway and we had to make a stealthy ninja like escape out of here. So glad I made the trip though because it was an amazing house with a lot of unique things to see, including power to some areas of the house. I eventually made a second trip to the house, only to find a lot more things cleared out.

History: I cannot give too much away information away but this is the abandoned home of a doctor and his wife who were arrested for animal abuse. Officials say there were about 100+ young dogs that were allegedly neglected in a huge house, where a doctor was living with his wife and children. Rescuers had to wear hazmat suits and respirators due to the overwhelming odors caused by all the animal urine. There were also dead dogs and parts of dogs found in the home. In addition, a pony was removed from the home with its hooves terribly overgrown. The doctor and his wife had lived in the house for 15 years and are now facing felony charges.

And no, surprisingly the house did not smell during my visits. I also never realized how awfully grainy all my photos are until now.

Looking at it, I'd never guess it has such a nasty history. Very neat!

Really enjoyed your photos! 15 still looks new until you view the floor. 18 is amazing too. The History is really sad. i cant imagine a doctor who had a daughter who looked to be well taken taken care of, could of had all these things going on under this roof. You just never know about people and whats behind closed doors. Could the dogs, etc. of been kept in another house on this property?!? Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! You're so right, you never really know what happens behind closed doors. From what I heard he was a very reputable doctor in a major city too, so weird he'd do something so awful. There really seems to be no other place to keep them unless it was in the small shed on the side of the house or the child's playhouse in the yard. The report said ammonia from all the urine had set the houses smoke alarms off though so I'm guessing all in that house.

Wow! Thanks for the extra info. So strange you couldnt smell it though. Maybe the house has been emptied of the vile carcasses for quite some time. I remember a house i found that had been the seen of strange activity and i could definitely still smell the animals. But, empty cages had been left behind.. Anyways, nice photos and history. Oh I hope the house had been emptied awhile back. The thought of being in there if it hadn't been all cleaned up or just recently cleaned, freaks me out. Hopefully you found nothing more than just cages at the house you went to lol. I could only imagine what you smelt *gag.* Thank you!

I remember seeing this somewhere! I think a popular urbanex youtuber made a video of it? The little playhouse was what reminded me. I love the photos of the rooms, the video I saw wasn't super in depth with the details, they never take enough time to show everything. Love this!

A few urbex youtubers I know have been here. Unfortunately that being said, this place got popular and very destroyed shortly after those videos were posted. Luckily I was able to make it before it got too bad. Thankfully, I believe this home was fixed up and is now lived in. Thanks for the love!
