Saw this on the map and had to check it out. While there I thought it was a boat manufacturing facility or maintenance place, but after further research I found out that this was a former naval fueling station. In use during WWII and abandoned in the 1970s. They claim cleanup efforts are "underway", but it didn't seem that way to me.

Overview

Pipes Exterior

Pipes

Storage? not sure what this is exactly

Inside of Storage

Fueling

Building 2 Exterior

Workshop

Boiler Room

Boiler Controls

Fuse box

Building 2 Exterior 2

Had to cut the trip short, a lot more here that I couldn't see.

And if anyone has an idea about the use of some of these buildings, I'd love to hear it. Not completely sure what some of these were used for.

Niiiice...you got some great shots! Love that boiler room; sweet industrial decay at it's finest. 😍 Thanks for sharing, looks like an interesting explore!

Nice big machines, surprisingly little graffiti for a place that looks wide open. Gonna go back and see the rest?

Nice find! Military locations are always cool places with interesting history.
