...OK I got your attention with that title, don't lie!

Unfortunately it's an entirely different sort of weed that was utilised here.

This is one of those curious local sites that nobody other than me would probably bother with, a friend of mine found it so I went for a little look around. The site was used for research into aquatic weeds, mainly algaes. It closed a long while ago, the only reference I can find to the place is in a research document from 1994 and nothing after that.

The site is composed of a handful of buildings - one large wood clad structure which holds a large concrete tank and a few smaller tanks, a big pre-fab laboratory building and a couple of sheds and greenhouses, plus an assortment of filter beds and outside pools. There was evidence of water channels that used to run throughout the site, all long since dried up.
