Where I live in the UK there are a number of massive world-class scientific research centres located in my general area, they conduct work and research into all branches of science that blows my mind and is far beyond the scope of what I can understand. I was lucky enough to get a tour of one of the major facilities nearly a decade ago, which was truly incredible.
The same site I had a tour around is also home to a collection of large abandoned late Victorian houses situated on the far edge of the land. These houses were formerly staff and chief scientific officers properties and they've been empty for as long as I can remember and always very well secured. I wasn't expecting to gain any access to them and that's exactly how it went but to see a cluster of ten large well built houses all sat together abandoned is pretty surprising, as the houses are worth an awful lot of money.
So yeah, this was more of an early morning stroll than a typical explore but I'm glad I finally shot them. This time of year they are all very overgrown, I'd like to go back in winter and see them a bit less swallowed by undergrowth.

Posted by tax_mouse I wanna go inside soooo bad!!!
Me too, they have been kept really well secure for years though I guess to deter squatters. I'm sure the insides, especially of the biggest of the houses, is fantastic.
