Haven't been here since 2011, but found myself in the area today and decided to revisit an old favorite. Security was tighter for sure, and the cops were clocking me from the time I arrived, but still managed to see some well socially distanced sights. Despite a couple fires in recent years it was nice to see not too much has changed almost a decade later.

I really enjoy the aesthetic of your shots - I love the rusty maroons amongst all the cool tones. Makes the place seem so peaceful despite your description of increased security.

Beautiful shots. There’s something funny about there being a sign about respirator masks from so long ago when we see signs for masks everywhere we go now.

One of my first explores. Still holds a special place in my heart.

It's supposed to get demolished soon, but the plague seems to have pushed that back for now. Might go visit again myself while it's still around.

6000 Series half-mask air-purifying respirator sounds pretty good right now

I'd love to see it before it gets taken down 😥

last time I went to check out the asylum they freshly boarded all the open spots, fyi if it's still up during new years its easier to explore, gates open up for the people that make the rose bowl floats for the city, they use one of the warehouses there as storage.
