Tilt Shift Lens?

Does anybody else own a tilt shift? As i want vertical lines to shoot architectural stuff and have OCD about straight lines, was wondering if anybody else has one and recommends dumping the money down for it? All the reviews on YouTube seem to be positive, but just checking to see if anybody else owns one on here.

I own the 17mm canon tilt shift. It's fantastic for anything architectural. I use it often in abandoned churches when I want to get more of the ceiling in frame while keeping the vertical lines straight. Another option that can save you some money is just cropping in on your images and using Lightrooms perspective control, but that will reduce the quality of your photos. If ya have the money get the tilt shift!

yeah ive done the post editing correcting straight lines but like you said, drastically reduces pixels and quality. does 17mm seem too wide for you though? or would a 24mm be better? I guess depends on how tight you wanna shoot

Most of my abandoned photos are shot at 16mm with a 16-35. So 17mm fit my work flow seamlessly. Canon also sells a 24mm TS-e that could be better for you if you're worried about 17 being too wide. But if you really want to get the best bang for your buck. I'd buy the 17mm TS-e and pair it with the canon 1.4x mkIII extender. For your money you'll have a 17mm and 24mm tilt shift! That setup will also only take up the space of one lens in your bag.

I have the 24mm PC lens from nikon. It is off the hook and the beauty is you can shoot vertical panos very easily.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

exactly. I used to shoot the 10-18 canon but now i have the 16-35mm on the full frame. same equivalent pretty much but now that i take my compositions more seriously I find myself rarely shooting the widest my lens shoots...
