Was that the absolute idiot that tried it in the daylight about 20 feet in front of a giant HD camera? I was out there for that, we hit the SF side older suspension bridge that night

But how is this possible, considering people like Exploring with Josh, Moe Sargi, Max Power etc. all have multiple video incidents of 'illegal or immoral activity' and they are making BANK.

It's ridiculous that so many people have been able to monetize urban exploring (which directly goes against the terms and service of Patreon, Youtube, etc). But only a select few get in trouble for it.

If they're going to enforce these policies, they need to be more consistent about it.

It's simply that nobody has found their shit and made a fuss about it. Cops don't have the power or the will to go after somebody like Max of their own accord, usually it takes a property owner or some busybody making a big thing of it for the cops to get off their asses and come bother you. In these youtubers cases it's just a matter of time, and the criminal case will pale in comparison to what a civil court can do to them for making money off the whole thing.

I think only the IRS is more ruthless than Disney's lawyers.

Whatever way you look at it what we do is often illegal and sometimes dangerous in many different ways.

In our echo chamber we rationalize how we do no harm, for many of us its true.

But..... publicizing how "edgy" we are goes against some fundamental principles of what UER stands for.

I don't even tell people I know in RL that I do this stuff.

I get we all have our own motivations and that's fine. Making a video of a crime and posting it on the internet is not the best move, you could get in trouble. It does harm to the very cause you claim to stand for. It also feeds the click-bait news cycle that is hard to push back against afterwards.
