SOME OLD FILM PHOTOS

From way back.

I have been talking to an acquaintance, who is very into film photography. And, I remembered I had shot film for a short while. And scrounged up some old ones that are, kinda okay.

What really got me out of it was... Scanning. I really don't like doing it. And, I was too cheap to get a digitized copy when getting it developed.

So, my interest is sparked again. The results are beautiful from so many photographers I respect.

I had given my film cameras, and a bunch of rolls of film, to my brother in law. And, sadly, it never got used, and just got wasted. Oh well. Life happens.

I just ordered a neat little Russian half frame 35mm camera, and am about to pull the trigger on a Soviet TLR. So, lets see what the future brings. Hopefully, more film! Yes!

These scans are pretty poor. Scanned from cheap prints onto a cheap flatbed scanner.

Thanks everyone! And, if you have some! Share 'em! I'm pretty sure, just about every film guy around is going through backlogs of awesome content during this lock-down.

And, if you actually explore, or ever have! Let's get that shit up here on UER! The best exploring resource there ever was!!!

The joys of film ... not knowing what you have until it's developed and printed.
Like always, these are great photographs randomesque ... good eye and interesting locations.

These are cool...I especially like #s 2, 5, 9, 10, 12, and 13. The end results of scanning (from my bit of experience at least) can be rather messy, but you really came out with an awesome set here! Thanks for sharing; I look forward to more.

A lot of these are really very good. The colors are fantastic, and I’d be interested to know what camera(s) and film you used.

Love these pictures. Something about film photography is really nice. It adds a certain "vibe" to the pictures.

Thanks!

Color ones are Ektar 100. And, with a bronica medium format, Wish I still had it actually.

the 2 b&w shots. Some sigma camera, and I don't even remember the film. Might have been tmax or something.

Great set!

Sort of reminds me of Noir style photos with subtle haze and other elements. One of my favorite styles so this set is a win win

People start to post more and more film pictures and for a reason... they look so nice!

Really nice set man.

I still have my dad camera wich all my childhood pictures were taken with.

Ive been using his camera strap on my camera for the last decade too.

I think you just made me want to finally try it out!

You have some really great film shots there. I often carry both digital and film cameras with me. I find with film, you are more careful with composition. Memory cards are much cheaper. I do pay to have my negatives scanned. For the 10 or so rolls I shoot a year it isn't that expensive.
