I don't think I'm going to mess with the cameras. However on the chance that I do, would I get in trouble if I found something bad on film I developed if I delivered that evidence to the police? Would they get me for trespass? Or accuse me of being the creator of the images since I developed them? Obviously the only time I'd do such a thing is if it were serious like rape or murder.

I wouldn't worry about it.

If you solved a cold case, that would be EPIC and I wouldn't worry about prosecution.

But I don't see a reason why they wouldn't just do that with a phone.. Even flip phones have cameras on them.

Decent quality cameras in phones are a recent innovation.

20 years ago, phones were bulky JUNK by today's standards. The cameras that were in cell phone 10 years ago were junk.

That's not to say that you can't take a good picture with crapola camera. I won an award for a picture I took with a flip phone.

The topic escalated quickly

It only takes one bad escalator for everything to go down quickly.

Wow, I have a flip phone now and can't imagine that being possible. It takes pictures of this quality:

Very noisy/blurry

It doesn't have to be clear unless you're pursuing documentary photography style.

It's all about composure. Sometimes noisy and blurry is good.

Remember that Mapplethorpe made money with a picture of a guy with a bullwhip shoved up his ass.

Not many of us are in the Robert Mapplethorpe league, but hey.

I'll maybe snag them and ask someone to develop them. I'm hoping within the next month to take a day trip there to get some nice photography (not blurry bullshit) of the innards of the building. It has a lot of 30's to 60's Era equipment, fittings along with modern stuff thrown in here and there.

The day trip will require me to get my lazy ass up early in the morning to sneak in which is why it might take a while for me to get around to it...however there is always a chance I will set an alarm in the next few days.

I've not been back to the place in a minute.... I actually just recently caught wind of a new location from a friend that I had always assumed inaccessible due to security measures. So you will probably see a photo post of that place before I get back around to the place with cameras in it. I will hopefully obtain them soon though. And I'll even take pictures of where they're at to show the helicopter man.

it is weird too say the least..

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

Do it! Don't let pesky security stop you from getting into these bandos!

I'm late to the party, but I'd definitely not be able to resist having them developed. I've taken VHS tapes from a place, but unfortunately I couldn't get them to play.

I agree. Take them, and hold on until you can develop them yourself or find someone who can develop them.

I recently learned to develop my own photos by watching a bunch of youtube videos. If you decide to take that route, I'd recommend it!

Super late to reply. Hopefully this thread hasn't gone completely off the rails. I have the ability to develop/scan film photos at home, but only have the chemicals for black and white if that's fine with you (and you're still interested in having them developed).

Some of us remember those 2 guys in Connecticut that got arrested for stealing $87,000 worth of stuff abd tried to sell some of it on UER.

Holy shit, I remember that. Its was equipment from a TV/news station if I remember correctly.

On topic to the OP.

Try to find a photo lab in your area. Not a CVS or Walgreens but an actual photo lab. They do still exist.

Explain to them the situation that you literally found these cameras and have no idea whats on them. If there is anything illegal found on them you will be more than happy in assisting the proper authorities any way you can.

Personally, I'd have them developed.
I highly doubt there is anything too terrible on them. Anyone that uses disposable cameras knows the film must be developed so they aren't going to incriminate themselves.

I was kinda thinking about that too but ya never know. I didn't know photo labs were a thing.

I've been in a radio station once. The place is buttoned up tight nowadays. I lost all the pictures because the phone got destroyed.
