With all this Corona crap, I thought I'd make an uplifting post...

About three fine Summers ago, my boyfriend and I decided to explore a well known location. After much research, I was feeling confident about how to get in. Anywho, we park and start walking when lo and behold, a security car is trailing us. I start to panic because we just drove three freakin' hours to get here. My boyfriend's telling me "just act cool" as I'm sweating. So, it lingers by us, making it impossible to even get in the place. After ten minutes of looking suspicious, we decide to just park somewhere else and try it through the back...

After a swift walk through the woods and getting cut by thorns, we pop up in the back of the building. Manage to get into a few, so we're feeling confident. "This is a good time to go under this fence" I thought to myself as the same security guy rolls up. I'm halfway under the fence when I see that mean mug. Getting up off the ground, we walk up to him. He says "wHaT ArE yOU TwO DOinG? I ThouGHt I SaiD YoU COULdnt Go In THe BUIldinGS." We re-assure him that we're not vandals while showing him the inside of our backpacks, telling him we drove three freakin' hours... Long story short, he let us roam inside the buildings for hours lol I couldn't believe it!

I'd love to hear any funny and or interesting stories from you guys

I got a good story for this thread:

One freezing night two winters ago (it was around -20°C), we went to the Malt Plant in Montreal to do some prep work for an upcoming film festival. Since it was really cold we were planning on testing a space heater, so we brought a generator, some tools, and the space heater with us to bring inside.

Now, we've been going to the Malt plant countless times over the years (for those who know about UrbexMalt) to do work there, so since it became a second nature for us to jump the fence, we kinda stopped looking over our shoulders while doing so. Turned out someone spotted us this very time.

When we reached our entrance and were preparing to go inside, we saw some flashlight beams approaching the way we came. At first we thought it was other explorers or some random kids, but soon we recognized the typical Montreal Police uniforms: two cops show up in front of us, looking pissed as fuck, telling us they saw us jumping the fence with what seemed like heavy equipment, so they decided to follow us and caught us at our entrance.

Damn fools we were. Caught red-handed at a place we've been hundreds of time! There was no way to play dumb here, since they saw our tool bags and generator. They had an aggressive behavior at first, thinking we were scrappers or vandals. We had no choice but to be honest with them if we wanted out of this unscathed, so we told them the reason why we were there, minus a few important details (we said just enough for them to know we weren't ill-intentioned, but not enough for them to know everything about our plans).

Their attitude then changed for a more understanding one, and they became genuinely interested in our project. After it was clear we were out of trouble, I jokingly asked them if they'd like a tour of the inside (knowing they weren't allowed inside without a warrant or the owner's permission, I was expecting them to politely decline my offer). Well they quickly accepted and even radioed their third colleague who stayed behind to watch the car!
I was a tad uncomfortable when they mentioned to him to "bring the taser".. Turns out they couldn't leave that thing unattended in their car for whatever reason.

Upon the arrival of their third colleague we introduced ourselves and made our way in. The cops faces were all smiles and full of wonder for the whole duration of the "tour", which lasted about 40mins. They asked us not to take pictures of them because they weren't officially allowed inside, but I managed to take a few sneak snaps because, hell, it was too good to be true: we were actually walking the cops inside the Malt Plant and showing them the bits of work we've done over the years. It was all surreal.

When they left we all agreed that "nothing happened tonight, we didn't see you and you didn't see us", shook hands and let them out before proceeding with the work we had to do that night.

OMG! I love it. That's an awesome story. It just sucks most cops think only vandals go in these places. The security guy I ran into was shocked that we drove that long just to see abandoned buildings hahaha I'm not sure they know people like us exist

My story is definitely not going to top those other stories but it’s good for a little laugh :p while exploring with some friends at our normal spot, we just happened to catch a cop driving past us and of course he had to stop to see what we were up to. We explained we were just walking around trying to get scared by ghosts and he told that it was an area closed to the public and we had to leave. As he was escorting is back to our cars, over his p.a.system, he started playing halloween music and then the theme song from “cops” tv show “bad boys” we all had a good laugh and couldn’t believe he was so chill!

Bro that night was out of this world lol

At first it was really a close call, with all the tools hidden behind the little wall and us not preapaired at all for this encounter lol

They were suuper chill.

I will always remember when i opened the door by the inside and saw not 2 but 3 police entering haha!

(the door was frozen so i had to go open the door by the inside passing by another access point and i didnt knew they had called another of their collegue lol)

Il y a toujours un moyen.
