Welcome! If you can get up to Dubuque or over to Chicago, there's a decent amount to explore in both those cities. Outside of that I'm not too familiar with your area, but I'd start with local geological maps- Northern Iowa has a decent number of abandoned mines, so depending on the geology of your area there might be some mines worth a look near you.

I currently reside in Rockford, IL. Lots of places here. Wouldn't mind meeting a couple of new people sometime. I've had the itch to explore lately. Shoot me a message sometime.

Without just blurting out anything...

Take a ride on Rockingham Road - W 2nd St in Davenport and see if anything catches your eye.

Same goes for the Uptown section of Moline.

Happy hunting!

I know this was posted forever ago but if anyone sees this, I went there a few days ago to recon and it seems as if the place has been bought by some new company as the whole shipping/receiving area of the building has been resided with metal as well as new garage doors, while the left side is still untouched. There’s security cameras around the outside of the left side of the building, as well as a sign that says “beware of dog” and a tall metal fence surrounding the building. Just saying this because it might have recently became in use again or they upped the security.

just someone hoping to escape it all
