About a month ago I visited the City Methodist Church in Gary, Indiana while doing some exploring down there. I know it's been shot by everybody and their dog, but I figured since I was in the area I might as well visit for precisely that reason. So here's my take on it.

I sought out the location on satellite imagery after looking at your shots and discovered how impressive the location looks on Google Earth in full 3D. In fact, the 3D was so great here that I spent about ten minutes wandering around the rest of Gary. What a desolate place! So much urban strife. I really like the look of Union Station. Any chance you visited that when you took these shots?

Nah, didn't get the chance sadly. I definitely intend to return to Gary someday, so if I do I might check it out.

Kind of surprising how little graffiti there is inside, even though the location is literally marked on Google Maps. Hopefully I’ll get around to checking out Gary and all of its “glory” someday.
