Is anyone around from this area? I'm currently going to school down here and just seeing is anyone else is in/or around this area to possibly hit up cool places and/or collab. I am an explorer myself and know of quite a few places around the area.

Yeah, I'm in Madison. Don't really explore West of the city though- I haven't found much between here and Dubuque, so most of my exploring is in the rectangle between Madison, Rockford, Chicago, and Milwaukee because they're all on the Greyhound lines and I still don't own a car.

Woah. Greyhound to abandonments. Nice. Still cohesive than car ownership, I'm sure.

Nah, most of my Greyhound trips are to the meetups or to meet with explorers in nearby cities ($10-$15 trip range), so I don't get out of Madison as frequently as many- though with the time constraints of college I wouldn't be able to even if I had a car.

Oh, and OP- an account with only a single post to its name asking to meet with other explorers comes across as not quite trustworthy yet. If you really have been exploring for a while, post some pics, get to know people on here, etc. Then doors will open for you.

PVegas reporting in.
If you're going to school here, there are some buildings on campus that have some interesting areas in disuse if you can manage to get back there,
In terms of proper abandonments, there are plenty of farms in disrepair within a few miles of town, but theres not a snowball's chance in hell I'm popping in unannounced. Anywhere can be a meth lab. Don't know of much elsewhere outside of a few places in Central Iowa near Des Moines, and a few places in the towns North along the Mississippi.
