Sometimes I wonder why they don't still do it like this. I found this place a while back, then I forgot where it was. Last week I found it again. It felt really dreamy being there and yet the mill house didn't burn down that long ago...

This gate was built into the footings of the Dam. Probably for adjusting the water level in the pond. It must be pretty silted up back there. I can't imagine it holding much water on its own.

More like ruins you would expect too see in somewhere once controlled by the Roman Empire then in the NE United States. Really cool.
