You're pretty heavy n on the vignette. Would help to lighten up on that.

Yeah, that's not helping you cause... one reason you buy expensive lens is to prevent that Adding it in sparingly if at all.

Neither is the upward angled shot; bring up the cam height and square it off on the left side.

I disagree there, I like the framing. The vignetting is too much though.

There are no straight lines in nature.

But to me it just doesn't look as moody.

Thanks for the feedback.

That's already better. I don't think anyone is going to accuse vignetting of not being moody, but the effect is so common that it's very easy to spot, and so it gets boring to see it used heavily. There are more subtle ways of creating mood though, and figuring them out is the fun part if you ask me.

Getting some height on the cam is what I was looking for.
Keep the angle but square off the left side to the frame.
Without being there it's impossible to tell if that yield better results but suspect it would.
Too many shoot at one height because it's easy or just don't think of doing otherwise.

Hi Blackhawk. I was lying on the ground.
Do you mean to stand up and take the shot chest level and place it in the middle of the frame?

Yes, but it's be hard to tell not being there. Some subjects just don't want to compose nicely no matter what prospective on them you take.
Many times it's because of other items like telephone poles and electric lines that kill it.
Play with it and see what looks and lines up best in the viewfinder.
Nothing is squared off and that I think detracts from this image.
edit: the "K" is squared off... it would better if cropped closer to the edge of the frame, with the top of the "K" at the top corner of the frame, I think.

I did a quick edit in Snapseed on my phone. It has some presets the choose from, made it more blue.
