A tunnel that operated from 1875 until 1971, which requires you to find your way through the vegetation which surrounds it, along with having to walk through moist-like dirt as you go closer to the metal barrier. From what I’ve heard, the interior has four cave-ins, and the other end has completely collapsed.
I took the second picture by putting my phone through one of the small holes in the barrier.

https://www.deekad...-eel-river-canyon/ is a bunch of blog posts by someone who hiked the NWP from Fort Seward to Dos Rios. Not sure quite where the one you posted is, I assume significantly farther south, but it was the same line.
