I should be doing my this year's last work evening right now, but I’m not. My father did die yesterday, so these last two work days I’ve been not at work, but in grief, sadness and sorrow. It's strange how you have fear last 10+ years this coming, knowing it obviously will come probably sooner than later because there were that alcoholism and million other things involved... you could think that you are somewhat fine with that idea. And then when it suddenly is real, your heart still is broken to small pieces, you just have that horrible pain in your chest and sadness comes unexpectedly like waves of grief, bringing tears to your eyes.

But because I did compose this set earlier, I don’t see why I wouldn’t publish it now… even I’m not 100 percent sure when I will come to check if there is any comments here. Anyway, this one shall go to memory of my father.

I miss you dad.

And once again I’m not sure if this is suitable, but Finnish band called Insomnium did publish first song (with video) from their upcoming album, in which they try to dive deep into Finnish melancholy. Somehow they seem to fit well well to my sadness and these photos too, so… skip it or try it. After all it's same for me.

And Then Sunlight Was Born Again:

Dreams of Ending:

Slow Days (in Oblivion):

And today’s off-topic-bonus-shot goes back 9 years, to warm spring evening when I did take this shot of my father. It was rare to catch photos from him, so I'm glad that I did get even this one.

Thanks for scrolling this far, and remember to love people that are around you; you never know when they ain’t anymore.

So sorry for your loss. While it is both important and therapeutic to mourn, we must never forget to not only celebrate our own existence, but to celebrate the lives of those we have lost as well. ~Cheers~

Beautiful set Wolfheart

I feel what you're saying; lost my Mom 40 years ago and my best friend 30 years ago.
Time helps lessen the sting of it.

Wolf,

I am truly sorry and saddened to hear of your father's passing.
Having just recently lost my mother whom was my greatest cheerleader and best friend, I can completely relate to your grief.

While nothing will ease the pain you're experiencing, I do hope you are able to express yourself in a way that works for you.

May your memories give you strength and comfort during these most difficult times.

My sincere condolences my friend from afar.

Wolfheart, I am So sorry to hear of you Dads passing. Death is such an enemy to us all, and i send my sincere condolences to you and your family. While your heart is aching you did a wonderful job of working through some of your pain by sharing your loss with us and by dedicating what you love to do to your fathers memory. An excellent set, and a lovely photo of your Dad. Please take care of yourself and take time to heal. Everyone goes through this process differently. Never feel like you are alone. If you need a listening ear, please dont hesitate to PM me. I understand as i have lost both of my parents. Hugs to You! Tamara.

Really sorry to hear about your Dad's passing Wolfheart. Beautiful set and a good tribute. I really like the lighting and composition in Last Day's Light. Always appreciated your albums.

Thanks for your kind words. And yeah, I've been crying, lot. And going to better - there have also been 3 days that I haven't cry at all. I suppose it might do little help how I did fear for years and years this moment to come, so it wasn't complete surprise.

Sorry for your loss. And it's strange how time kind of heals. I've lost 1 friend too about 30 years ago, almost best friend I could say. Today it feels almost surreal that he never ever even exist... and same time it feels like he still would be somewhere. Well, most of time of course I don't think him anymore but when I do.

Good music choice that too.

And thank you very much.

I'm sorry for your loss too. And yeah, going better. Like I did some upward message wrote, there have been already days without crying... but of course sorrow still hits like waves. One moment you feel fine and then suddenly it hits. That is strange and fascinating too.

And yeah, I've been writing a lot, and also photographing too. But of course this will take some time, especially because funeral is far away still, and then there are those huge piles of bills and loans that we should manage somehow = stress, stress and even more stress. But I have some savings so I suppose we get through this too.

Thank you very much.

Thank you very much. And yeah, it's strange how death is so obvious part of life and still it hurts so much. And thanks, I'll really appreciate that and will keep that in my mind.
